We spent a romantic 3 weeks of honeymoon in Canada, US and Japan.
And the whole trip was a blast!
3 places? yeh, we had a good deal on SQ11 and Air Canada. Accommodation? my Aunt’s crib in Canada :)
And y Japan? My husband wanted to go to Disneyland so much! Since our flight transit in Narita, Japan and we had a free stopover there, so i thot i’d surprise him. So off we went to Tokyo Disneyland.
I met a Japanese Facebook pal, Alisa in Tokyo. She brought us around for sightseeing and food tasting! lol Yes foood! But to my surprised, it was difficult to find sushi! In Japan? erk… Then i realised, it was Winter. They had pork & meat only..No fish. At all
There were this one incident that we find it was kinda funny actually whereby we went out for sightseeing on our own that night, and wanted to venture more places in Narita. But the only set back for us, non Japanese speakers was that there were None English signage around except “IN” & “OUT”. -_-” c’monnn! who wouldnt understand thaaat?

It was hard for us to understand the places she meant, so she wrote it down :)
And if you realized the timing written as 9:49 there, indeed the train did arrived on the dot at 9:49 sharp!
Not even at 9:50 or something. We were amazed by their punctuality.
Another example on the day we were meeting up with Alisa at the hotel lobby at 11am.
But she texted me to inform that she would be late, as she will be reaching at 11:05am!
Man~ That's only 5 min.. I find it cute tho. And i felt guilty for that caused when she arrived to find us still having our breakfast. -_-"

Asakusa
Asakusa is the center of Tokyo’s “low city”. We were
standing in front of the Kaminari Gate, a large entrance leading to Asakusa’s
main attraction known as the Sensoji, a very popular Buddhist temple, built in
the 7th century. There tourist can find a shopping street, the
Nakamise, with more than 50 shops which offer variety of traditional, local snacks and
souvenirs, and leads to the temple ground. Alisya guided us around the temple,
and we tasted some local snacks!
Not far away from Asakusa, we saw a tall building that looks
like the Space Needle in Seattle, it is called The Tokyo Skytree. During our visit, at that time, it has not yet open. L It is by the way the tallest
building in Japan.

Harajuku
So what else can you think of about Japan? Anime? Cosplay? Fashion? Here you can find Japan’s
most extreme fashion styles. Harajuku! Ring a bell? Yes, the street is like a
parade! Like those anime characters come to live! Just
look at the crowd on Takeshita Street, where the focal point of Harajuku’s
teenage culture is. And there I spotted my all time fave.. Liz Lisa! OMG. Its time
to splurge!

Ginza
Had enough of those traditional shopping? Let’s drop by Ginza; Tokyo’s most famous upmarket shopping, dining, and entertainment district. Trust me, everything is expensive there! They say that a cup of coffee will cost you at $10! We did not encounter that though but a decent meal that we had there was quite pricy. *sorry couldn't be specific as i cant remember
In the evening we went to the launching of UNIQLO; global Japanese retailer. In Ginza, it was 12th storey high with different sections at every level. It is by the way the company’s biggest store in the world. I can’t even take picture of the interior as it was jam packed inside! But we did manage to explore every level! -_-“
Tokyo Disneyland
Finally, Disneyland! My husband and I love theme parks! We
had our first official date at Universal Studio Singapore too. Haha! Annniwayy,
Tokyo Disneyland was the first Disney theme park outside of the US. And Tokyo
has Disneyland and Disneysea. But I went to Disneyland only. It was
expensive~ I cant remember the exact
amount but we paid S100++ per pax! And gosh, we dint really enjoy as much as we
did in Hong Kong Disneyland. *Shall dedicate an entry on our Hong Kong trip
some time* Basically because, we were hungry as there were no Halal meals to be
found. (lemme know if anyone knows k) Also, we went on March, it was Japan sch
holiday! OMG! You guessed it.. Crowded! A guess how long we had to Q for a ride? 2
hrs! -_-“ Ok but we did stayed until the
closing ceremony! All in all, I enjoyed spending quality time with my husband
there.. awwwww. Lol
Meanwhile in Canada, we had sushi for 3x.
I missed everythg bout Canada. So many changes ever since the last time i visited with my family couple years back. And there i was, this time round with my husband :) Kept me reminiscing to every places visited. Esp in Gastown & Capilano.
I was invited for a school tour in Capilano University. So i requested to be arranged during our stay there. We were greeted so warmly & friendly.
Too busy exploring the campus that I'v forgotten to capture some snapshots of us there :(

Stanely Park
It is Vancouver’s first, largest and most beloved urban
parks, bordering downtown Vancouver. (It
is more than 10% larger than New York City's Central Park and almost half the size of London's Richmond Park. Wikipedia.org)
We love nature too, and enjoyed the scenic view of the
rain forest, water, and mountains. The last time I visited Stanley Park when I
was 9. On Dec 2006, a storm ravaged the park, causes thousands of trees
damaged, and seawall was also destabilized. So it was different from the time I
visited with my family back then. And I remembered very well of The Hollow
Tree; the most photographed element. Somehow, they managed to save the tree by
realigning and stabilizing it! On the top right corner and bottom left of the pix is the Totem Poles, a large collection of monuments.
Capilano
Just minute from downtown Vancouver, we visited the Capilano
Suspension Bridge; another one of British Colombia’s most famous attraction.
The bridge stretches above Capilano River. It does looks scary, and you can
swing it left to right. -_-“
Wanting something more thrilling? Then check out the
Cliffwalk; the park newest attraction.
We also hop from tree to tree on the Treetops Adventure
which has secured viewing platform and 7 suspension bridges.
Alberta, Banff
We stayed in Chateau Lake Louise, and oh my gosh, we just
love the beautiful and extremely stunning view of the frozen lake, mountain
peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier, ice sculpture, and just amazed with
everything. We went Snow shoeing on the lake too!
Whistler
Features 2 majestic mountains, a beautiful venue for skiing and snowboarding. It is in fact consistently ranked the number one mountain resort in North America. *www.whistler.com/about

It was freeeeezing but we were so curios as they offered 218 flavors!
Can you imagine the taste of a Garlic flavored ice-cream? euww!
But i actually did tasted it. And it tasted like a cold icy garlic! Duh~
And and, tapai flavor ice-cream! And so many other weird flavors which i dint dare to try.
So i settled with Peach Apricot Sorbetto and Passion Fruit+Orange+Guava Sorbetto flavors.
Seattle
Since Seattle is just at the border, we made time to drop by. We hopped on to the Space Needle, the observation deck. Think the ticket was about $19/pax. We took the elevator to reach the top for a few seconds. From the top we can see Seattle downtown skyline, Elliot Bay and Mt.Baker too! Been there with my family when i was younger back then.
We also went to the Public Market Center, the oldest continually public farmers' market in the US. You may find the first ever Starbucks store, the world's oldest Starbucks.
Not much of great pictures in Seattle tho as i was down with stomach flu. :(
